Xbox elite controller input lag

For Xbox One on the Xbox One, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "Controller input lag?". So I'm playing borderlands 3, and I'm getting a very noticeable input lag on my controller. Anything I can do to fix this? Also, it's just a standard xbox one controller. Not the elite ot a third party.
